Partners on Campus
(POC)

Join POC volunteers as they patrol the lunch area of Sam Brannan with a positive, friendly, nonconfrontational attitude. POC volunteers provide an important presence at lunchtime. If there is a problem, hall monitors and administrators are notified by you and are trained to handle it.

The POC Committee is in need of volunteers to schedule, call, and participate on campus during lunch periods. If you would like to volunteer IN ANY WAY, please call the office at 264-4350.

What does a POC do? You arrive on campus by 12:00 a.m., sign in at the front office, and put on the POC name tag. You become acquainted with the other volunteers for the day and you're ready to patrol. Volunteers monitor the cafeteria area and insure students refrain from inappropriate language or behavior.

POC duty is from 12:00 - 12:50.

Walking as a POC volunteer is a rewarding experience and promotes a more peaceful and caring atmosphere at Sam Brannan. Sign up today for a one hour shift once a month or more often, if you are available. If you can't walk the campus, please call to assist with organizing, calling or scheduling. Thank-you.
