Join with us to help make the coming school year a great one! As parents we want this coming year's experience to be filled with positive memories. We want our children to look forward to coming to school. We want them to feel safe. We want them to be both inspired and challenged. Most of all, we want them to feel good about themselves and good about their school. Help make it happen!

The Sam Brannan P.T.A. has been very active in its support for:

• "Partners on Campus" volunteer program to keep the school safe
  
• Communication to improve school security
  
• Voicemail for parents to contact teachers and get class assignment updates
  
• The purchase of new computers for classroom, library and lab use
  
• The purchase of software, supplemental curriculum and special project materials
  
• The school library, book fair and reading contests
  
• After school programs, including keeping the computer lab open
  
• Teachers to help meet their classroom needs with supplies and training
  
• Improvements to classrooms such as electrical wiring in the science classrooms
  
• "House", school, and wider school community activities
  
• Parent education on how to understand and communicate with their teenagers
  
• Better communication of "What is happening at Sam Brannan" with the newsletter

P.T.A. dues are $5.00 per adult member. A newsletter donation of $10.00 would also be appreciated. Any additional voluntary contribution enables the P.T.A. to start funding programs.

In addition to monetary support, your active involvement is needed in the following areas: PTA Board member or chairperson, School Site Council, fundraising (usually held twice during the school year), Teacher Appreciation Luncheon (usually held the last day of school).
